Kyoto Gardens & Holland Park

Kyoto Gardens & Holland Park
Dutch Garden, Holland Park

The gift of Kyoto, Japan to London, England.

It’s incredible to see what gardens can do for the general public.

They provide a place for relaxation.

Catch-ups and a reset.

A place for reflection and more.

On a summer evening in July after work, I made my way to Holland Park, where it all began for me.

This place has been the site for many monumental moments of my creative/ content journey. It’s the place where I captured clips as part of a TikTok that accumulated 500,000 views in less than a month. Mind-blowing to me at the time! It’s also the place where I spotted peacocks for the first time (at least I think lol).

And this is where the idea for this blog actually came to life! (Lucky you)

I love how different places in the world can represent different parts of our lives, the things we do, the thoughts we think about, and the approaches we take to life.

Holland Park reminds me of discovery. Discovering more of my interests and creativity, more of my vision and more of my mission. Gotta keep jugging to complete the mission. (I like making things rhyme lool)

Anyways!

Take some time this week, after work, to visit a space, preferably in nature where you made a discovery. It is not to say that the place is the route or source of discovery, but it can serve as a nice reminder of a period of your life or a moment in your life where something monumental happened, acting as a catalyst for showing some gratitude!

It can serve as a nice reflective reminder of key moments in your life and it can help you appreciate how far you’ve and where you’d like to go!

Kyoto Gardens in Holland Park is a great place to do that.

It features a beautiful serene Japanese garden featuring koi ponds, lush greenery, and tranquil waterfalls. Oh and don't forget about the peacocks!

Situated not too far from the central line it’s super easy to get to for my city workers, for my south and East London workers, maybe come here on the weekend as the journey can add a lot of mileage to your day 😂.

That's all for today but until next week, find a hidden gem near you!
