Museums in London are a quick, easy, and cheap (often FREE) way to spice up your day! Whether you're looking to explore a new subject or experience a fresh perspective, there’s a museum for that! So, here are the ones in London that I’m sure you’ll love!

Starting off strong, we are in West London with Japan House.

Ainu Stories: Contemporary Lives by the Saru River exhibition at Japan House

Japan House London is all about showcasing the beautiful culture of Japan, from traditional crafts to the latest tech. You can immerse yourself in everything Japanese, and with exhibitions that change regularly, there’s always something new to explore. I love it here—everything the Japanese do is so CLEAN!

Japan House is such a great place to explore, and since it stays open late, it’s perfect for anyone looking to visit after work, especially the 9-to-5 folk!

Next up, we have the travel journal museum, aka the Horniman Museum.

Horniman Museum and Gardens, Forest Hill

Every part of the world is represented here, EVERY. From the African grasslands in the museum gardens to the Asian history in the world exhibition, the Horniman Museum is a proper mix of global culture. You can stroll through the gardens, be amazed by the natural history collection, or check out the animal exhibits (though they’re currently under repair).

Horniman Museum and Gardens also has an aquarium, butterfly house, and an animal walk too! It's a real hidden gem. Check out my previous post to find out more!

I’ve got way more museums to add, but today we’ll do just three, so we’re rounding off with drumroll please 🥁🥁🥁

The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich

The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich

Super SUPER underrated. Greenwich is the gift that keeps on giving, and the National Maritime Museum is one of those gifts!

A museum dedicated to maritime history in the UK and across the world, be prepared to be wowed. My mouth was wide open when I saw the astronomy photo competition! The pictures here almost brought real-life tears to my eyes; they were so beautiful!!

The museum has other fantastic exhibitions on trade, the North Pole, and more! Definitely worth checking out if you are in Greenwich.

Anyways if you know what to do! Check these museums out now!!!!

But until you do that, find a hidden gem near you!

Oh yeah, if you made it this far, SUBSCRIBE!
